Thankful Thursday #4: I’m thankful for the little things…

We take many things for granted. So for this edition I’m going to be thankful for the little things that I would have taken for granted, had I not participated in this meme.

This week I’m thankful for …

  1. …Thankful Thursday, where I rack my head just to realized everytime how blessed I am as I type out my entries every week. Where I am brought to other people’s thankful entries and get that warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing in a world full of negativity, there are a lot of people out there who still shines bravely like a candle in the dark.
  2. …weekend to spend on my own. I will not be commuting to my man’s place this weekend. It’s not that I don’t love him, but sometimes time alone is good for couples. This is one of the rare weekends I get to myself as he will be away doing manly stuffs with his best friend (read: 4wd-ing, camping, running amok in some forest somewhere and making a lot of environmental damages. The kind that men are bound to make whenever they have the excuse for it. Wherever they are. I pray for the survival of our ecosystem). This means I will have the whole week to blog. Yaay! (If I don’t get too lazy and too sidetracked reading other people’, that is)
  3. …that even though I dread the winter, it is only nights that it is unbearably cold. The day are cool, with just enough sun to thaw me. The night is a different matter altogether.
  4. …for chocolates. I don’t need to elaborate on this, do I?
  5. …for the Internet and for blogs. How did I manage to do without when I was living in the Stone Age?
  6. …for the view I get out of my bedroom window. During the day, you can see trees and animals. It looks like you’re looking out of a resort. From my vantage point I see houses on hills, when they light up at night it’s really beautiful.

  1. The other day I was thinking the same thing – the little things I my life I can be thankful for :) – A smile from my Sweetheart, a silly joke from my son to make me smile…fresh fruit and veggies anytime I want them…Yeah, it is all good.
I do hope that your man and his friends will stay safe and don’t get into too much trouble.
I would love to have a view like yours – my view is a block-fence *sigh*.

  5. Great post. I think too many of us forget to take the time and just be thankful, and give thanks, for what we have. Too many people get wrapped up in wanting more, more, more, not realizing that we already have so much!

Thanks for stopping by my TT! (Thursday Thirteen)

  9. Three cheers for chocolate!

Isn’t funny what a view can do for you? It really lifts you up or brings you down depending on what you’re looking at. So glad yours is beautiful!

  13. Good for you for taking your own time away from the man. Reminds me of Pink’s song “Leave me alone, I’m lonely”

I just wish I had the same!

  14. That is so the truth about getting sidetraced by reading everyone else’s blogs. heehehehehe
I start out with good intentions of posting something great and end up reading everyone’s greatness!
