Major nerd post ahead! Or major coolness post ahead, whichever camp you’re on.
I first saw this video in Random Good Stuff. Unless you’re a gamer, I’m not sure if you’d get the humour of this video. If you don’t get it, then you might as well start playing games!
I think we all recognized the first game? Super Mario. 
The default game everyone starts on. How the game looks like when the something is wrong with the CD…hahaha!
Second game is Counter Strike. Check out the spastic weapon switching action. HAHAHAHAHAHA! How true! How true! I always end up doing that because I can’t remember which is for what weapon/object. So I have to shuffle through all my weapons before I get the right one. Check out the you-pushed-me-to-the-wall-and-I-can’t-move-dammit! move. Oh man, oh man…déjà vu!
Final Fantasy (the third game) is my favourite pantomime. The victory music brings back serious memories. When I played this game, my brother and I attended different school session. I was on the morning session and he was on the afternoon session. Therefore every afternoon after class and before rushing off to my various after-school commitments, I’d be cranking Final Fantasy VIII up.
Fourth is the Legend of Zelda. I don’t play it. I have a reputation to uphold.
Ok, ok. So I lied. I would love to play it. But my brother is a game console dictator. I’d be lucky if I could even touch the controller. And as we grow up, playing RPG suddenly isn’t cool anymore. He buys Metal Gear Solid. He buys Fatal Frame. He buys Resident Evil. I don’t watch horror and I definitely don’t play horror. Suffice to say I never touch Fatal Frame game. I’m contented with sitting at the very far corner, with a cushion up my nose, while watching my brother snapping pictures of ghosts and evil spirits.
Yes. By snapping pictures. The Japanese gamemakers are evil, evil lot, I tell you!
Then he went out and buy Harvest Moon.
Then I go “wtf? Harvest Moon??”
Because my monster battling, enemy shooting, X-wing piloting brother is suddenly maintaining a farm, planting crops and taking care of cow.
Taking care of cows??
One of the task in the game is to plant vegetables and fruits, for crying out loud! And watering them and all that jazz!
Although I like the concept behind the game and I think the game rocks… (it sounds simple but it involves a lot of planning. It’s farm simulation, you know! Running a farm ain’t easy!)…
…I just find it bizarre whenever my own brother is playing it.
It’s like, knowing Marilyn Manson have decided to ditch his hellish lifestyle and retire to a monastery.
Just not right, you know?

My kids are video game junkies and so all of these were familiar. I loved the blowing on the malfunctioning nintendo game…LOL, how creative, now I have to send this off to my son at school.
