Setting up house

Remember somewhere in this post, I mention to you guys that our mutual friends are shocked at the revelation that we’re not living together? Despite the fact that everytime they come around to Hero’s, I’m always there?

And then me forgetting my own address?

Well.

That’s changing. :)

In 2 weeks time.

Hero asked again last night. I’m here most of the time, I only spend 2 nights a week every fortnight at my own place (if I’m lucky). I’m paying $100 for it and although I love my housemates and knowing that I have a place to run away to if something unbearable happens, it’s not economically sound. Besides, there’s hardly anything unbearable in this relationship anyway!

So moving in with him is a saner option. I think this is the fifth time he asked this year and I finally relented last night. I was so tired of seeing $100 disappearing from my pocket for nothing, and now that the business plan I have in my head have a great chance of seeing the light of day, I need to save up for it.

So there you have it. We’re moving to the next step. Which means 2 weeks of packing up and moving my things…goodness, I so hate moving!

I’m also going to be doing some organizing around the blog, so you might see it acting wooky these few days.

In the meantime, I’m heading to bed. It’s only 9am but I have an early start at work tomorrow. Sigh…

  1. wow.. this is a huge step..

congratulations!! its always good to think ahead..

It’s a little bit scary though. Now I have nowhere to run! Haha.

  2. Hmmm, I have to wonder how much of your stuff you REALLY need to move if you only go to your house once or twice every two weeks. Maybe you could just sell it to your roomies and save yourself the hassle. :D

Hahahahaha! Alright, who have you spoken to? :P I AM selling lots of my stuffs back to my roomies and landlord. My IKEA wardrobe for example. Breaks my heart. But my landlord asked to buy it from me, so that he doesn’t have to go look for wardrobe for the next tenant and I figured I don’t really want to dismantle that damn thing, move that bulk and put it together again. It wa such drama when we got back from IKEA and put it together before! I sold my microwave to my housemate who can’t live without it.

All this moving out moving in business…so after this I hope I don’t have to do it for another 2-3 years. :(

  3. Geez, why does it keep setting me to Gourmet Mama? :S Anyway, I also wanted to say good luck with your business idea and I can`t wait to hear about it. :D

Your split personality keeps on commenting on my blog. Not that I mind, but I was wondering if the other one has your permission. Were you aware this was happening? Just so you know.

And that business idea…ran it with him last Saturday and was bombarded with very constructive criticism from every angle. I felt like I was in a real board meeting! Oh, am so excited. All those problems to be solved!:D
